Floodwaters are spreading across Britain. At least 500 properties had been affected by Tuesday and another 70,000 are at risk, according to the UK's Environment Agency. This aerial view shows an elderly man being rescued from his home in St. Asaph, in northern Wales. A total of 193 flood warnings have been issued, with central and southwestern England most at risk. Britain has been hit several times by severe floods over the past 10 years. A deluge in the summer of 2007 killed around a dozen people and caused billions of pounds in damage.
