When Argentina was in the grip of a Dirty War under a military dictatorship from 1976- until 1983 ... this church was a meeting ground for women who lost their children. Nobody knew what happened to the so-called disappeared until this woman Miriam Lewin discovered that the military dropped hundreds of bodies off planes into the ocean. She tracked down a plane in Florida that was used for these so-called death flights. Now a day in court. Hearings open Wednesday for pilots charged with throwing drugged political prisoners to their death. One official...Adolfo Scilingo has already confessed. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) OFFICIAL WHO CONFESSED TO CARRYING OUT "DEATH FLIGHTS," ADOLFO SCILINGO, SAYING: "Throwing out sleeping human beings, I don't know. Do you know someone who could get over that? We are human beings and what we were throwing out were human beings." Some 68 people stand accused of human rights abuses. The government says more than 11,000 people disappeared during the Dirty War. Rights groups say the number is closer to 30,000. How many were thrown overboard in the death flights is uncertain.
