Clashes between Sunnis and Alawites rage on for a sixth day here in the Lebanese port city of Tripoli. The sectarian clashes broke out between fighters loyal to opposing sides in neighouring Syria's civil war. At least 10 people have been killed and scores are wounded. The latest round of violence began when at least 14 Lebanese and Palestinian gunmen from northern Lebanon were killed in a Syrian town close to the border a week ago - reportedly by forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. On Sunday, Lebanese authorities received the first three bodies from the group. Relatives of those killed gathered near the border, chanting as they received the bodies of their loved ones. Tripoli is a majority Sunni city but is also home to a considerable Alawite population - the same sect to which Bashar al-Assad belongs. Lebanon's population is deeply divided over Syria's crisis. Local Shi'ite movement Hezbollah and its allies support Assad while most Sunnis support the revolt against him.
