Anti-abortion activists marched in Washington to protest the Supreme Court ruling that made abortion legal in the United States 40 years ago. SOUNDBITE: Allen Zelno, who was in town to march from Quakertown, Pennsylvania saying: "It's the greatest civil rights issue of our time. The strength of a society if judged best by how it treats it's weakest members and the weakest members of our society are the ones with no voice who have no freedom or right to life so that's why we're here and we'll be here forever," Demonstrators braved freezing temperatures to participate in the annual March for Life. Many in the crowd would like to see the 1973 Roe v Wade decision overturned. SOUNDBITE: Rose Orosco Of New York City, New York saying: "So yeah, 40 years and I think it's just way too long, so we're waiting for a definite for people to raise consciousness and for really people to understand that this is just not a blob of tissue." Abortion continues to be one of the most divisive political issues in the U.S. --- but battles over abortion have largely shifted from federal courts to statehouses. A recent Pew poll showed that most Americans are opposed to overturning Roe v. Wade.
