Here in Beijing, the world's largest annual migration for humans is in full swing. Millions of people across Asia are travelling home to be with their families over the Lunar New Year. In Beijing alone, over 6 million train trips are expected to be made on Friday (February 8) as the migration reaches its peak. Across Asia, people have preparing to welcome in the Year of the Snake. Here in Myanmar's Yangon, residents say the new year is a chance to start afresh. SOUNDBITE: 36-YEAR OLD BUSINESSWOMAN MAW LEE SAYING (Burmese): "All the bad things that happened in the previous year have passed already. Everything is fine in the New Year starting from the first day. Our life is renewed again." Preparations are also underway in Cambodia where snake and lion dances are shaking off the evils of the past year. Estimates suggest more than 700,000 ethnic Chinese people live in Cambodia. Many will begin celebrating the holiday when it officially begins on Saturday (February 9).
