The mangled aftermath of a bus explosion on the Turkish-Syrian border.
A Syrian minibus exploded Thursday on this border crossing near the Turkish Mediterranean town of Reyhanli, killing at least 13 people and wounding dozens more.
Witnesses said the minibus exploded as it was driving up to the Turkish border gate, one of the main crossing points for Syrians fleeing into Turkey.
NATS FIRE TRUCK
The Turkish government said it is investigating if the explosion was a suicide bomb or some other kind of blast.
This is effectively a stretch of no-man's land between the two countries.
The Syrian side of the border crossing is rebel controlled and Turkish trucks routinely deliver goods here where they are picked up by Syrians.
Violence from the Syrian conflict has spilled over the Turkish border before, and tensions between Turkey and Syria have increased in recent weeks.
