TV AND WEB RESTRICTIONS~*NONE* A Sunni gunman in the Lebanese city of Tripoli fires into the Alawite neighbourhood of Jabal Mohsen. Tripoli has suffered sporadic sectarian violence since the Sunni-led uprising against President Bashar al-Assad broke out two years ago in neighbouring Syria. At least 18 people have been killed and more than 120 wounded in the latest bout of violence, according to security sources. Sunnis in the city are mostly sympathetic to the rebels, whilst Alawites, members of an offshoot sect of Shia Islam, are more supportive of the Alawite-led regime of Bashar al-Assad. Tensions have been particularly high in recent weeks due to fierce fighting in the Syrian town of Qusair just over the border.
