Outside Pope Francis' summer residence Castel Gandolfo, all thoughts were on Egypt. The Pope asked the faithful to join him in praying for an end to the violence that rocked Cairo. SOUNDBITE: Pope Francis saying: "Painful news, unfortunately, reaches us from Egypt. I wish to ensure that my prayers are with all the victims and their families, the wounded and those who are suffering. Let us pray together for peace, dialogue and reconciliation in that beloved land and in the whole world." The Pope's appeal came one day after clashes between security forces and Muslim Brotherhood supporters left more than 500 people dead and thousands injured.
