With his own country in turmoil, Ukraine's President attended a welcome ceremony hosted by his counterpart in Beijing. Viktor Yanukovich suggested deals with China could bring some relief to a continuing debt crisis. Back in the Ukraine, hundreds of anti-government protesters rallied for a 15th night, continuing to call for their President to resign and call new elections, which the government has refused to do. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland - in Kiev for a meeting of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, met with the leader of the opposition party and also weighed in on the crisis. (SOUNDBITE) VICTORIA NULAND, U.S. ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF STATE SAYING: "As Secretary Kerry said this week, the people of Ukraine have the right to choose their own future. We urge the Ukrainian government to listen to the voices of its people who want to live in freedom, opportunity and prosperity." But Russia's foreign minister has tough words for Western countries, saying their response to this crisis is disrespectful and amounts to treating Ukraine like like a child. (SOUNDBITE) SERGEI LAVROV, RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER, SAYING: "They are trying to shift the discussion to a situation where there are some schoolchildren who still don't have the status of the civilised organisations as NATO or the European Union, and who have to report to their teachers." Ukrainian police have given demonstrators five days to leave public buildings they have occupied in protest against the president turning away from a trade deal with the European Union and moving back towards Russia.
