More gas has been poured on Washington's political firestorm. House Speaker John Boehner says he plans to file a lawsuit against the president... Accusing him of abusing his powers and implementing policies without congressional approval. (SOUNDBITE) (English) HOUSE SPEAKER JOHN BOEHNER, SAYING: "You know the Constitution makes it clear that a president's job is to faithfully execute the laws. And in my view the president has not faithfully executed the laws... Congress has its job to do, and so does the president. And when there's conflicts like this between the legislative branch and the administrative branch, it's in my view, our responsibility to stand up for this institution in which we serve." White House press secretary Josh Earnest rebuffed these claims. (SOUNDBITE) (ENGLISH) WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY JOSH EARNEST, SAYING: "I do dispute that. There is a solid legal rationale for each of these steps the president has taken. The president's working principle has been that we will work with congress wherever we can to try to make progress on behalf of the American people. But we have seen a congress - Republicans in congress -- who have engaged in a comprehensive, coordinated legal strategy to block everything." Boehner didn't provide details on which executive action the lawsuit would target. But he insisted it's not an attempt to impeach the president.
