Under the dark cloud of allegations of sexual assault, comedian Bill Cosby has resigned from the board of trustees of Temple University, his alma mater said in a statement issued on Monday (December 01). The board of trustees said the resignation comes as a result of Cosby not wanting his personal issues to detract from his service to the school. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," the third film in the action series starring Jennifer Lawrence, collected nearly 57 million dollars (USD) to hold off advances by the animated films "Penguins of Madagascar" and "Big Hero 6" to claim victory at the U.S. holiday weekend box office. "Mockingjay" recorded 82.7 million over the five-day Thanksgiving Day weekend and has generated more than 225 million since opening on Nov. 21. He's already won two Oscars and numerous other accolades, but now Christoph Waltz has the ultimate film industry status symbol - a permanent star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Jackson, a popular Tarantino actor and co-star of Waltz. Madonna, who just recently completed a visit to Malawi, has been appointed the Global Ambassador for Child Welfare by the country's President.
