The war of words between Turkey and Israel began with criticism, by Turkey, of Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu for attending last Sunday's solidarity march for the Paris attack victims, along with other world leaders. In response, Israel called the Turkish President an anti-Semitic bully. And now, Turkish Prime Minister Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is comparing Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu to the Islamic militants responsible for the killings. (SOUNDBITE) (Turkish) TURKISH PRIME MINISTER, AHMET DAVUTOGLU, SAYING: "Netanyahu, as the head of the government that kills children playing on the beach with the bombardment of Gaza, destroys thousands of homes, takes every opportunity to kill Palestinians and dish it out as if it is a normal thing to do and storms an humanitarian aid vessel sailing in international waters and massacre our citizens, he committed a crime against the humanity just as the massacre in Paris committed by terrorists." Turkey and Israel once enjoyed close diplomatic and military ties. Those ties began to fray with the 2010 storming of an aid flotilla headed for Gaza -- seen here in Israeli army video. And now, with last week's Paris attacks, relations appear to be deteriorating even further.
