It's Earth......but not as we know it. This stunning footage was shot by European Space Agency astronaut Alexander Gerst whilst on board the International Space Station. The six-minute film is, in fact, a compliation of 12,500 photographs taken at regular intervals during Gerst's five month stint in orbit. Gerst fitted cameras to the craft during his 165-day Blue Dot mission. While conducting scientific experiments or docking spacecraft he set them to automatically take photographs at regular intervals. The mission ended in November when Gerst's team landed in Kazakhstan. The German astronaut now possesses arguably the most impressive home video ever made.
