An injured man is taken away after a suicide bomb blast in Nigeria. The attacker killed at least four people and wounded another 35 in the northeastern city of Potiskum. He drove his car packed with explosives into a busy bus station. (SOUNDBITE) (Hausa) INJURED EYEWITNESS, YUSUF BELLO, SAYING: "I was standing with my friends close to the station when the suicide bomber detonated his bomb in a vehicle. Most of my friends were burnt to death." (SOUNDBITE) (Hausa) EYEWITNESS, IBRAHIM BABALE, SAYING: "I was on the opposite side of the road repairing my wheel barrow when I heard a loud sound. I fell to the ground only to see myself with these injuries." There was no immediate claim of responsibility but the attack bears the hallmarks of Boko Haram Islamist militants, whose five-year insurgency has destabilized the northeast of Africa's top oil producer. Violence is surging in Nigeria just as the country gets ready for a national election. President Goodluck Jonathan is pitted against a former military ruler, in the closest contest since the end of military rule in 1999.
