(SOUNDBITE) (English) JASON CASHON, JUDGE, SAYING: "We are the jury found the defendant Eddie Ray Routh guilty for the felony offensive capital murder as charged in the indictment." A judge in Texas reads a guilty verdict Tuesday night against 27-year-old Eddie Ray Routh who was charged with murdering Chris Kyle, the former U.S. Navy SEAL whose autobiography was made into a movie. He was jailed for life. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JASON CASHON, JUDGE, SAYING: "Having received and accepted the jury's verdict in this matter, by statute I will now impose sentencing this matter confinement for life in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice without the possibility of parole. That's the verdict of this court and I will enter judgment accordingly. You may be seated this time again." 27-year-old Routh shot Kyle and Kyle's friend Chad Littlefield multiple times at a gun range in February of 2013. Routh's lawyers had argued he was innocent by reason of insanity. Kyle was credited with the most confirmed kills of any U.S. military sniper. His career was depicted in Oscar-nominated film "American Sniper".
