Two of the three suspects charged with conspiring to support Islamic State appeared in a New York court Wednesday. Akhror Saidakmetov was arrested while attempting to board a flight to Turkey on his way to Syria. Another defendant Abdurasul Jeraboev had previously purchased a ticket for a March flight to Istanbul. (SOUNDBITE) (English) ADAM PERLMUTTER, DEFENSE ATTORNEY, SAYING: "These two young men were detained by the FBI. They were interrogated without the benefit of counsel." A third suspect was arrested in Florida. He's accused of helping with funding. The criminal complaint says Juraboev had posted messages online, expressing his willingness to kill U.S. President Barack Obama. Saidakmetov made similar statements. According to the complaint, he said he'd shoot police officers and FBI agents. New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said this case was a real concern. (SOUNDBITE) (English) BILL BRATTON, NYPD COMMISSIONER, SAYING: "This is the concern about the lone wolf inspired to act without ever going to the Middle East or the concern of once they get to the Middle East, acquire fighting skills and capabilities, then attempting to return to the country." All three suspects had been living in Brooklyn.
