Rita Wilson underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery after being diagnosed with an invasive form of breast cancer. Wilson was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma, a type of cancer that can spread to other areas of the body. The actress took leave from the Broadway play "Fish in the Dark" to undergo surgery, but will return on May 5. Percy Sledge has died. The soul singer was best known for his recording of "When a Man Loves a Woman." The song, recorded by Sledge in 1966, was his first single and is considered one of the greatest of all soul songs. He died at his home in Louisiana at age 74 after battling cancer. Daniel Craig has been appointed the United Nations' first global advocate for the elimination of mines and explosive hazards. The James Bond actor will spend the next three years raising awareness for the U.N. Mine Action Service (UNMAS) and encourage political and financial support for the cause. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" had a star-packed premiere in Los Angeles. Robert Downey Jr. lead the pack of superheroes on the red carpet, that included Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth among others. The film opens in U.S. theaters on May 01 and is expected to rank as one of the highest grossing openings of all time.
