What a sizzler! The race for number 10 is on. And with the British election just too close to call, what better way to predict the result than with a spot of pig racing? The contenders: David Hameron for the Conservatives, Ed Swiliband for Labour, Pork Clegg for the Liberal Democrats and Nigel Forage for UKIP. Pork Scratching in grey, representing the other parties. SOUNDBITE: Political pig racing organiser, Chris Murray, saying (English): "They do share several characteristics with politicians - they like to have their snout in the trough sometimes. Sometimes they can make you feel pig sick, often they are hamming it up." The odds favourite was David Hameron, but this particular race wasn't without its dirty tactics... Nigel Forage ducking hurdles at every chance en route to the finish line. SOUNDBITE: Political pig racing organiser Chris Murray, saying (English): "I think every politician should be going over the hoops to get into power, so its actually dare I say, its open season and its any ones guess." On this occasion, Ed Swiliband and Pork Clegg going through the door of Number 10 together. David Hameron more interested in sniffing around the entrance than bringing home the bacon. The Penywell Political Pig race in Devon runs every day until election day on May 7th.
