This is some of the last video showing American aid worker Warren Weinstein held hostage by al Qaeda. On Thursday, U.S. officials said an American drone strike in January on a compound in Pakistan near the Afghan border inadvertently killed Weinstein, and Italian aid worker Giovanni Lo Porto. It was a loss U.S. President Barack Obama said he lamented. (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA SAYING: "As a husband and as a father, I cannot begin to imagine the anguish that the Weinstein and Lo Porto families are enduring today... I profoundly regret what happened." Upon hearing the news in Italy, Lo Porto's family mourned in private at their home in Sicily. While in Rockville, Maryland, yellow ribbons signifying hope that Weinstein would one day return home to his wife Elaine, are at the heart of this makeshift memorial... as family and friends grieve quietly.
