Financial information released by Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign shows that she and her husband Bill Clinton earned at least $30 million dollars since last year. Federal law requires all presidential candidates to disclose an account of their personal financial information by May 15th. The Clintons' earnings include more than five million dollars in royalties from Hillary's book "Hard Choices", and at least $25 million in speaking engagements Hillary is the front runner for the Democratic presidential nomination next year and, like Republican candidates, has made economic inequality an early theme of her campaign. The couple's income puts them at the upper end of the top point-one percent of earners in the U.S. The "one percent" has become a talking point in policy discussions about the divide between rich and poor, cited by politicians to support everything from increased Wall Street oversight to raising wages to overhauling the tax code.
