ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: U.S. Secretary of State Kerry makes the case for the Asia Pacific Trade agreement, or TPP telling a Boeing plant audience in Washington State, "It's not your grandfather's trade agreement." Kerry said the pact was unlike any other agreement. He said the agreement would force every participant "to comply with core international labor and environmental standards , where every participant has to refrain from using under age workers, and unsafe work places." The Senate is to vote this week on the fast-track measure that will move President Barack Obama closer to enacting the 12-nation Asia Pacific Trade deal that is part of his diplomatic pivot to Asia and one of the centerpieces of his second-term legislative agenda. If fast-track authority is granted to the White House, then Congress must vote yes or no on any trade deal that is negotiated, without the chance to make any amendments.
