She was elected into office in November to lead the NAACP chapter in Spokane. But questions are now being raised about Rachel Dolezal's racial identity. SOUNDBITE: RACHEL DOLEZAL, SPOKANE NAACP PRESIDENT, SAYING: "Would you identify yourself as an African American? Actually I don't like the term African American I prefer black. So if asked I would say yes I consider myself to be black." But Dolezal's biological parents say she's living a lie. SOUNDBITE: RUTHANNE DOLEZAL, MOTHER, SAYING: "What is your daughter's ethnicity? "Our daughter is primarily German and Czech and of European descent." "So, she's white" "She's white." Ruthanne and Larry Dolezal who live in Montana say their daughter has always identified with the African American culture. Her adopted siblings are black. But they say the way she looks now isn't what she looked like when she was young. SOUNDBITE: LARRY DOLEZAL, FATHER, SAYING: "She's a blonde, blue eyed, freckled faced girl growing up. No way to get around it." SOUNDBITE: RUTHANNE DOLEZAL, MOTHER, SAYING: "Rachel has wanted to be somebody she's not. She's chosen not to just be herself but to represent herself as an African American woman or a biracial person. Rachel is a master artist. And she's able to disguise herself and make her appearance look like any ethnicity." SOUNDBITE: RACHEL DOLEZAL, SPOKANE NAACP PRESIDENT, SAYING: "What would you say to those who question your ethnicity?" "Those who are questions, it's really Larry and Ruthanne 'I don't give two ******* what they think.' Her parents say they have been estranged from their daughter for years... and while they may have had their issues, this they say, is a case of black and white.
