ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The French Interior Minister on Friday thanked the two U.S. citizens who helped disarm an attacker who opened fire on a train from Amsterdam to France earlier in the day, leaving three wounded. In a news conference near the scene at a railway station in Arras, northern France, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said the two Americans were courageous in their actions. Unconfirmed reports said U.S. Marines had overpowered the assailant. "Together with the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, we praise the Americans who were particularly courageous and showed extreme bravery in extremely difficult circumstances. All our gratitude and recognition and admiration the calmness, without which it would have been a terrible disaster," Cazeneuve said.
