ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) At least four people, including two police officers and one journalist, were injured late Friday (September 11) after demonstrators turned violent. The protesters were marking the run-up to Chile's 42nd anniversary of the country's brutal military coup in which then President Salvador Allende was killed and dictator Augusto Pinochet took power. Activists in Chile hold protest rallies on the anniversary every year, with most ending in violence. This year, protesters threw molotov cocktails and fired weapons at police and journalists, authorities said. Officials said none of the injuries are life-threatening.
