The U.S. airman who helped stop a gunman on a high-speed train in France has been stabbed in California, according to officials with the Air Force. A spokesman said Spencer Stone was stabbed early Thursday morning in Sacramento. He's now hospitalized in stable condition. Stone, and two friends who grew up in the Sacramento area, were honored with a parade through the city last month, after they subdued a gunman on a high-speed train bound for Paris in August. The feat made them international heroes, and won them accolades from the presidents of France and the United States. Local media say Stone became involved in a fight in the street near several popular bars early Thursday and was stabbed several times in the torso.
