ROUGH CUT - SUBTITLED (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Members of Fatah militants, al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and other Palestinians participated on Friday (October 16) in a funeral in the West Bank city of Jenin, of a Palestinian who died in prison on Wednesday. Earlier on Friday al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Jenin announced that it is no longer bound by any cease-fire agreements with Israel. The statement was made after they toured the streets of the city while firing in the air. A member of the brigades confirmed in the statement that they support the Palestinian President in his efforts to achieve the Palestinian State and that they will be ready to fight until the day Jerusalem and the Palestinian prisoners are free. Hours before, Palestinians set fire to a Jewish shrine in the Israeli-occupied West Bank as the Islamist group Hamas called for a day of rage against Israel, with tensions still running high after more than two weeks of violence. In the latest attack, a Palestinian posing as a journalist stabbed an Israeli soldier near the West Bank city of Hebron, the Israeli military said. The soldier was wounded and the attacker shot dead. The unrest that has engulfed Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, the most serious in years, has claimed the lives of 34 Palestinians and seven Israelis. The Palestinian dead include 11 knife-wielding assailants, police said, as well as children and protesters shot during violent demonstrations. One man died in Gaza on Friday from wounds sustained in a clash a week ago.
