ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton accused Alabama lawmakers of pursuing discriminatory laws to decrease voting rights for certain residents, as she rallied for support from African American voters on Saturday (October 17). "Fifty years after Rosa Parks sat and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. marched and John Lewis bled, it is hard to believe that we are back having this same debate over whether every American gets a chance to vote and exercise his rights. This is a blast from the Jim Crow past," Clinton said, speaking at Alabama Democratic Conference in Birmingham. Clinton also said she wanted to "end the era of mass incarceration."
