PLEASE NOTE: VIDEO AND AUDIO QUALITY AS INCOMING PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS MATERIAL WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY 4:3 ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION New footage shows Malian security storming the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali, as shooting continued during the assault that killed 19 people on Friday (November 20). Armed men rescued as many as 170 people, many of whom had been hiding under beds or in side-rooms. Many of those rescued could be seen running from the hotel in the Malian capital, Bamako. Jihadist groups Al Mourabitoun and al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) claimed responsibility for the attack, which ended when Malian security stormed the building. President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita said two militants were killed in the operation. His government increased security at strategic points around Bamako at the start of a declared 10-day state of emergency. Six employees of Russian regional airline Volga-Dnepr were killed, Russia's foreign ministry said, while six others were rescued. The West African state has been fighting rebels and militants in its weakly-governed desert north for years.
