Silvan Shalom, seen here in file footage, resigned as Israel's Vice Premier on Sunday over allegations that he sexually harassed several women during his career. He's stepped down both as a minister and as a member of the Israeli parliament. The attorney general has instructed police to investigate the complaints against him. Israeli media has reported in recent days that several women have accused Shalom of harassment. He's previously held posts as interior minister and foreign minister. Shalom's a veteran politician in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing Likud party. His departure is not expected to affect the stability of Netanyahu's government.
