STORY: It's a car ferry with a difference. Called the "Ferryboat", you simply blow it up and it's ready to go. It's designed to be strong enought to carry cars, heavy machinery and large groups of people across bodies of water. Ferryboat is the creation of Slovenian company, Hovercraft headed by CEO Blaz Stepisnik. (SOUNDBITE) (English) HOVERCRAFT D.O.O. CEO, BLAZ STEPISNIK, SAYING: "If you think about price and how affordable it is, it can't be compared to anything you can buy on the market." The vessel is made with innovative hand-made, drop-stitch technology, which uses fibers to connect two layers of inflatable fabric. In this case, Hovercraft uses Hypalon, a synthetic rubber extremely resistant to scratches and temperature extremes. The system allows for a completely flat and stable floating service capable of carrying up to 5,000 kilograms, or up to 50 people. (SOUNDBITE) (English) HOVERCRAFT D.O.O. CEO, BLAZ STEPISNIK, SAYING: "In this case, Ferryboat is a very small volume to inflate, but offers a huge volume to lift, with minimum draught." The company plans to offer several sizes. They'll be priced to a maximum of 10,000 euros or 10,900 dollars, a price Stepisnik says is unbeatable for something you can deflate, roll up, and carry as you go.
