(nats: I, personally, am convinced that God is calling and choosing Donald Trump) Julian Raven is a Donald Trump supporter. He's also a preacher, and a painter, and he's using his skills to campaign in Iowa for Trump as Monday's caucus draws near. Here in Westside, Raven has been approaching town folks to spread the word of Trump and to find a volunteer to help lead a caucus on voting night. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JULIAN RAVEN, SPEAKING WITH ALICE NIELSEN, A WESTSIDE RESIDENT, AND SAYING: "In other words, when you guys start to caucus, we need someone who is going to stand up and say, 'Mr. Trump is the best man for the job.'" (nats music) Raven and his new friend, country music singer Kraig Moss, are on the campaign mission together. The Painting Preacher and the Singing Cowboy as they call themselves travel in a truck sporting an oversized portrait of Trump's pouting face. And a bald eagle. Clutching an American flag. While talking to residents, Raven often uses biblical stories to convince voters that Trump is the right choice. (SOUNDBITE) (English) JULIAN RAVEN, STANDING IN FRONT OF HIS TRUCK WITH THE TRUMP MURAL, AND SAYING: "... when you look at King David, for example, and his calling and choosing: he was killing lions and bears out in the field, and there was a courage that he had. And I think we are dealing with somebody who has internal fortitude and the confidence and the courage that is required to match up with the existential threats that we face as a western civilization." The influential Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics Iowa poll released on Saturday showed Trump receiving 28 percent of the support of likely Iowa caucus-goers and rival Ted Cruz 23 percent.
