Officials say the attack started just as the evening commute was getting underway at 5 o'clock in the small town of Newton, Kansas. It ended a few miles away, when the gunman was shot and killed by authorities at Excel Industries, where he worked. Police said the gunman shot 18 people. Four are dead, including the gunman. This man, identified only as Matt, says he was working at Excel when the attack began. (SOUNDBITE)(ENGLISH) PLANT WORKER MATT, SAYING: "I was taking a break at the moment outside of my pickup.
