ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio was projected to win Puerto Rico, CNN and NBC reported on Sunday, giving the Florida senator his second win in the state-by-state nominating contest for the November election. With a quarter of the votes counted, Rubio had secured nearly 75 percent of the vote. Rubio addressed a crowd in Idaho Falls on Sunday night. "In the island of Puerto Rico, I won 70 percent of the vote. I won that primary and 23 delegates. (Applause) In an open primary, where anyone can vote, not just republicans, democrats and independents...I got over 70 percent of the vote, not because I became less conservative but because I took our conservative principles to the people who are living the way I grew up. I will take our conservative principles to people living paycheck to paycheck because I've lived paycheck to paycheck, because I grew up paycheck to paycheck." The U.S. senator from Florida had emerged as the leading candidate for the Republican establishment and continued to bill himself as a unifier despite his recent poor showings on Saturday. "We cannot win if we are divided against each other. We cannot win if we nominate someone that a third of our party rejects. We cannot win if we nominate someone that over half of our party rejects. We need someone who can unite our party and you give me this nomination and I will unite the Republican party so we can win in November." Republicans in Mississippi, Idaho and Hawaii, will continue the primary voting process on Tuesday.
