ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Ohio Governor John Kasich, who has staked his Republican presidential campaign on the upcoming contests in the Midwest, said on Sunday that rival Donald Trump is "not gonna be the [party's] nominee" and that he creates a "toxic atmosphere" that is dividing the country. He made the comments on the CBS news program, Face the Nation. Trump is at the top of the dwindling Republican pack with the highest delegate count. Kasich trails all his rivals, including U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, in delegates won, but is rising in some opinion polls to compete with Ted Cruz. Kasich's best showing so far in the presidential nominating contests was second place in New Hampshire. He is hoping for an outright win in his home state on March 15 to keep his campaign viable. His bid has drawn the support of Rubio, whose campaign urged Rubio supporters in Ohio to vote for Kasich, in hopes of slowing Trump's momentum.
