NATURAL ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Friday night at a campaign rally in Salt Lake City, Utah, that he believed there would not be a convention fight for the Republican presidential candidacy. If no candidate can assemble 1,237 Republican delegates by July, the party's presidential nominee for the November election will be chosen by convention delegates in Cleveland, Ohio, in what could be four days of political drama, carried live on national television. Trump warned on Wednesday of "riots" if he is denied the party's presidential nomination. Trump also told the crowd he would prefer to face former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the presidential contest. Clinton has a large lead in the race for the Democratic nomination and she won all five states that were contested on Tuesday. The businessman also touched on recent outbreaks of violence during protests at Trump rallies that have prompted mainstream Republican figures to speak out against the billionaire. According to local media outlets, protesters were seen shoving police in riot gear outside the Infinity Events Center where Trump spoke.
