ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Republican presidential candidate John Kasich, who is trailing far behind in the race for the White House, said a recent series of attacks by presidential candidates on both sides should not be reflective of anybody trying to hold office. He says he will not go down that road. "I've stood on a stage and watched with amazement as candidates wallowed in the mud, viciously attacked one another, called each other liars, and disparaged each other character. Those who continuously push that type of behavior are not worthy of the office they are seeking," he said. "As I have said repeatedly, I will not take the low road to the highest office in the land," Kasich added. Kasich - running a distant third behind Trump and Cruz and with no chance of capturing the Republican nomination unless he can emerge from a contested convention in July - did not mention Trump and Cruz by name but left no doubt as to who he was talking about.
