ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told supporters in Spokane, Washington on Saturday that he had differences with party leaders over his views on Russian president Vladimir Putin. "Putin...said 'Trump is a genius, he'll be the next leader of the United States'," Trump told a crowded arena. "Wouldn't it be nice if we actually got along with Russia?" During the rally, Trump also took aim at Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Trump's support from women voters has dipped considerably over the past few weeks, but Trump said Clinton is the one who should be the focus of their anger. He said Hillary Clinton was an "enabler" for what he said was her husband, Bill's, mistreatment of women. "Some of those women were destroyed, not by him but by the way that Hillary Clinton treated them after everything went down." Both frontrunners for their party's nomination, Clinton and Trump will have to address internal rifts before they can fully focus on the general election. Next week, Trump will meet with Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan who dropped a bombshell on Thursday (May 5) when he said he was not ready to endorse Trump until he shows he can unify the party.
