ROUGH CUT - SUBTITLED (NO REPORTER NARRATION) This could be the future of public transport in Chinese cities. The mass transport vehicle can avoid traffic jams. (SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) "BUS-WAY" TRANSIT ELEVATED BUS PROJECT MANAGER, BAI ZHIMING, SAYING: "Each one can carry 1200 people. The key is its low cost. Its cost is less than 1/5 of a subway's. Its construction time is also less than 1/5 of a subway's, which means it can be completed within a year." It was unveiled this May. Test of a full-sized model is set to begin in 2017.
