ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Florida Senator Marco Rubio says one of America's biggest challenges in law enforcement and intelligence gathering is to confront violent radicals within the United States. Speaking to reporters at a news conference, Rubio said Islamic terrorists need to know "they will not win." "Confronting the threat of violent homegrown ‎radicalization is one of the greatest counter terrorism challenges our law enforcement and intelligence community faces," Rubio, a Republican who had sought his party's nomination for the 2016 presidential race, said regarding the deadly shooting in Orlando, Florida. The massacre at a packed gay nightclub in Orlando left at least 50 people dead and scores more injured. The Islamic State's Amaq news agency claimed on Sunday that the militant group was behind the shooting but fellow U.S. Senator from Florida Bill Nelson said that claim was not yet confirmed. Democratic U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called the shooting "an act of terror" that requires the nation to "redouble" efforts to stop similar attacks. U.S. President Barack Obama said Americans would stand united and "not give in to fear or turn against each other" in the wake of the nightclub attack.
