Widespread protests against the police shootings of two black men continued in cities across the U.S. on Sunday night. Hundreds of demonstrators shut down the bridge that connects Tennessee and Arkansas in Memphis after a Black Lives Matter rally earlier in the day. Protesters are marching against the fatal police shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and of Philando Castile near St. Paul, Minnesota, last week From Atlanta.....to California, people marched along streets and sometimes major highways. In an intersection in Inglewood California.... protesters make a peace sign. The shootings come after several years of contentious killings by law enforcement officers in cities like Baltimore, New York, and Ferguson, Missouri. Both law enforcement officials and activists have condemned the shootings, including those of five officers who were killed by a sniper at an anti police violence rally in Dallas on Thursday. U.S. President Barack Obama has cut short a trip to Spain and will attend a memorial service for the slain officers.
