ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Indiana Governor Mike Pence will join Donald Trump at a campaign rally in his state on Tuesday. It's believed Pence is on the presumptive Republican nominee's short list for vice president. "This country is facing great challenges at home and abroad, I think we need strong leadership supporting our troops, strong leadership to get this economy moving again , and we need clear-minded leadership to make commonsense conservative appointments to the Supreme Court of the United States. I'm prepared to make that case anywhere across Indiana and anywhere across this country that Donald Trump would want me to," Pence told reporters on Monday. Trump told the Washington Post he expects to select a running mate by the end of the week and that's he's leaning toward someone with political rather than military credentials. Trump said he had five people under consideration, including retired Lt. General Michael Flynn.
