Police tape seals off a leafy neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, where police believe the man who ambushed Baton Rouge police officers lived. Government sources familiar with the investigation say 29-year-old Gavin Long is suspected of having killed three police officers and wounded three others. They say Sunday was Long's 29th birthday. He was a former U.S. Marine who served in Iraq from June 2008 to January 2009. At a briefing Sunday afternoon, officials in Baton Rouge said they believed there was only one gunman and he was killed in a shootout with police. Sources with knowledge of the investigation say a 911 call may have been used to lure police to the shooting scene. Investigators are looking into the possibility there may have been a conspiracy. Sunday's ambush is the second attack in a week aimed at police officers. Last Thursday, five police officers were killed by a sniper in Dallas at the end of a rally to protest the killing of blacks by police. At a briefing Sunday afternoon, President Obama called on the nation to come together and find ways to end all violence.
