ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Vice President Joe Biden arrived for a one day visit to Serbia on Tuesday (August 16, 2016). He was welcomed at Belgrade airport by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic whom he was meeting for talks later on Tuesday. Vucic and Biden are scheduled to hold a joint news conference after the meeting. On Tuesday evening Biden will travel to Kosovo --a mainly Muslim but secular and staunchly pro-American country -- to meet officials there and participate in a ceremony dedicating a road to his late son, Beau Biden, who worked in Kosovo from 2000 to 2001. A senior U.S. administration official told reporters in Belgrade ahead of the visit that Biden would promote dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo in both countries, which he viewed as key for stability in the region. Biden is also expected to express support for EU aspirations of the Serbian government.
