Under Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, a new wall has risen. And this wall bears the face of the Republican presidential nominee. It's part of a campaign to stop Donald Trump from becoming president of the United States, with the votes of Americans abroad. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CAMPAIGN LEADER FROM ACTIVIST NETWORK AVAAZ, MEREDITH ALEXANDER, SAYING: "We're the secret swing state that can take Trump down in this election." Meredith Alexander is leading the campaign for the activist group Avaaz. They already have a Stop Trump bus traveling the streets of London. Now, they're registering U.S. ex-pats in Berlin and urging an anti-Trump vote. Alexander says Trump's plan to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border strikes a nerve in Germany. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CAMPAIGN LEADER FROM ACTIVIST NETWORK AVAAZ, MEREDITH ALEXANDER, SAYING: "It's incredibly symbolic to realise this is a man who wants to build a continent-sized wall to divide two different peoples. And Berliners know better than anyone what happens when you do that kind of thing." While the activists brought down this wall, not everyone here was in agreement. One American-born German showed his Trump support on his t-shirt. (SOUNDBITE) (English) AMERICAN-BORN GERMAN, JACOB, SAYING: "Donald Trump is the only candidate that stands for actual change in our country. Change that's so desperately needed." ...and for the anti-Trump faction, change that must be prevented no matter what.
