A tin ore mill in Wa state in Myanmar hums along as it pumps out the industrial metal- a key ingredient for making electronics. Myanmar's tin production has surged 10-fold in the past four years which has contributed to a sharp decrease in prices on the global market. Last year alone, the tiny Southeast Asian nation was responsible for nearly all fo China's tin ore import's... about 33,000 tons. But all that may be changing. Mining officials say production is falling as tin deposits become depleted. Yes, we're concerned, the deputy leader of the survey team said. If the mine is depleted soon tax revenue of Wa state will drop and we need the money for development. In the meantime, and without proper geo-exploration in the secretive and restricted region, metal analysts and the world market face uncertainty.
