ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump helped wind up his campaign on Monday (November 7) by announcing endorsements from two of New England's most popular sports stars--New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick. Trump made the announcements at a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he told the crowd that Brady's endorsement came in a telephone call, but Belichick wrote him a letter. He read exerpts from the letter in which Belichick told Trump, "You've proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter, your leadership is amazing." The news comes as Trump was making final appeals to voters in hopes of closing the gap between him and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Heading into Election Day, most polls had Clinton in the lead and predict that she will be the next U.S. president.
