Carnage at a church in Cairo. An explosion at the Egyptian capital's main Coptic cathedral killed at least 25 people, most of them women, and injured 49, according to Egyptian television. Security sources say an explosive device was denoted on the women's side of the cathedral. They say six children were among the dead. There's been immediate claim of responsibility, but some supporters of the Islamic State militant group celebrated the attack on social media. Police cordoned off the cathedral where windows were blown out by the blast. The Coptic Christian minority in Egypt makes up 10 percent of the country's population and has long complained of discrimination. Egypt's presidential office described the attack as an act of "terror" and declared three days of mourning across the country.
