ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: U.S. President-elect Donald Trump spoke on Monday (December 12) to former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina about the job of director of national intelligence, the New York Times reported, citing a senior Trump transition team member. Fiorina, once a rival for the White House Republican nomination who clashed with Trump during primary debates, visited Trump Tower, his transition team said on a conference call. The former Hewlett-Packard chief executive told reporters after the meeting, "We talked about hacking, whether it's Chinese hacking or purported Russian hacking." Trump on Monday renewed his questions about U.S. intelligence reports that Russia intervened in the presidential election by targeting his rival. In two posts on Twitter, Trump also suggested that politics played a role in the news reports on the Russian hacking that emerged late last week.
