A major retaliation for what the CIA and FBI have determined were state-sponsored hacks of the Democratic party and Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, designed to sway the election toward Donald Trump. The Russian diplomats would be given 72 hours to leave the United States. The actions also a response to what U.S. officials say is Russian harassment of American diplomats in Moscow. In a statement the president saying that "all Americans should be alarmed by Russia's actions' and that more measures will be taken against Russia "at a time and place of our choosing." President-elect Trump, meanwhile on Wednesday still shrugged off the cyberattack, saying Americans should move on. SOT: "I think we ought to get on with our lives. I think computers have complicated our lives very greatly." But on this Trump's at odds with his own party. Speaker Paul Ryan, and Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham all calling the sanctions 'overdue'. A Kremlin spokesman says the new sanctions destroy diplomatic relations with Russia.
