Digging out from more than two feet of snow. People in upstate New York getting pummeled by old man winter. The heavy snow wreaking havoc on the roads and causing white out conditions. Near Buffalo, New York, the winter storm left students stranded on school buses... many more were stuck at school. SOUNDBITE: JAMIE WEIXLMANN, PARENT, SAYING: "Scary, it was scary, I didn't know what school he was at at first, they were inside being fed." In California's Sierra Mountains, up to seven feet of snow fell in just a day and a half. The region is bracing for another big storm that could dump record rainfall and trigger flooding, leading many to stock up on sandbags to protect their homes. SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED CALIFORNIA RESIDENT, SAYING: "The big trick is trying to get it done before the rain starts coming down." And in the South, people are bracing for a winter storm that is expected to dump heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain. The storm warnings stretch from Utah all the way to the Carolinas.
